This is a local primary school in Sichuan, and information about it was gathered by a friend. Even though the school received aid 3 years ago to renovate its run-down campus, it is still severely lacking in facilities. This is the only school in the province, with an enrollment of 129 students. The students have to walk a long way to school everyday in a sparsely inhabited area in the mountains. The place lacks proper daily and educational necessities, and suffers from a lack of oxygen. The friends who brought the donations to them were very grateful to us, they said that the previous time they went there, it took them 6 months to get there and back. There had been a blizzard and they only managed to get to the school at 2000 hours. It turned out that the kids were still waiting for them, and they felt very bad that they had nothing to give to the children. This time, when they heard that we were going to donate necessities to the children, they took up this task eagerly.
After communicating with the school, they were very grateful and arranged for a representative to welcome us in his most beautiful local costume as a sign of respect. Watching the children smile so happy, we felt that we really did something worthwhile.
Similarly, as a special birthday present, we hope that the owner of this present can also feel the children's happiness when he sees their smiling faces.
